The Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) will convene a meeting of the Carcinogen Identification Committee (CIC) on February 27, 2024. This public meeting will be held from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, or until all business is conducted. Presentations and discussions will address (a) enzyme polymorphisms and susceptibility to carcinogenicity and (b) proposal to streamline several sections of cancer hazard identification documents. Background materials for the meeting will be posted on the OEHHA website before the meeting. No listing decisions will be made at this meeting.

Note: Committee member Dr. Dana Loomis will be attending and participating from a remote location.

Attendees can participate in the meeting at the Coastal Hearing Room on the 2nd Floor of the California Environmental Protection Agency’s Headquarters building, 1001 I Street, Sacramento, CA, or via Zoom webinar.

You can join the Zoom webinar from a PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone, or Android device. You can also dial in via phone to join the webinar (audio only option). Dial a number based on your current location or use one of several toll-free numbers available. When prompted, enter the webinar ID 895 0399 2067.

For Zoom Webinar attendees, we encourage advance registration and request that registered attendees join the webinar at least 5 minutes before the 10:00 am meeting start time. However, registration will not close until the meeting has adjourned.

Note that you do not have to enter your actual name or personal information during registration; for example, you could use initials instead. If you do not enter a functioning e-mail address, you will need to save the meeting attendance information that displays after completing the registration form.

If you wish to provide in-person oral public comments at the meeting, you can fill out a comment card in the Coastal Hearing room. If you wish to provide oral public comments on the Zoom webinar, you must register as an attendee at the link above. Public comments may be limited to 5 minutes or less per commenter. If slides will be used during a public comment, please provide the slides at least 24 hours before the meeting by emailing them to p65public.comments@oehha.ca.gov.
